Raymond Reynolds – Chairman / Winemaker (right in picture)
I was born and brought up in Portugal, studied Chemistry at Leicester University and Oenology at Bordeaux. This was followed by a fascinating time as assistant winemaker at
Taylor’s Port in the Douro. Founded in 1990, this company is a result of what I learned there, combined with my firm belief in the potential of
Portugal’s unique grapes and terroir to produce world class wines.
Joined the company in 1998. His expertise in the hospitality industry, and as a fine wine merchant in Harrogate, added to his generally boundless enthusiasm for
Portugal’s wines has helped us forge our current status in the market. Danny was the founding President of the Association of Portuguese Wine Importers, and was
short listed for The Drinks Business Man of the Year Award in 2006. Jackie efficiently runs our back office, has been with us for over 10 years and does that skilful job of keeping our customers happy and orders flowing. She is too modest about her wine knowledge to spout lavish tasting speak, but if you need proper opinions about the wines, ask her! Other opinions she is discreet about.
